From the supplier: Health insurance exercises a strong influence on certain important decisions of employees such as work transfer or retirement. Expenditures for the implementation and payment of health insurance are bigger than those for other benefits. Employers therefore find it more economical to implement this benefit through a group coverage scheme under their name, a system which has the added advantage of tax deductibility. The system, however, is not transferrable and this affects the mobility of workers. The system, on the other hand, encourages early retirement when it includes post-employment benefits.
